Dalton and Vicki Jantzen, the founders of 30 60 100® MINISTRIES, INC., spent 16½ years serving at seven remote mission stations along a 300-mile section of the Caquetá River in the southernmost part of Colombia. During this time, they learned what it truly meant to trust the Lord, as they faced numerous potential safety and health threats. “That experience cemented my faith and my character,” Vicki reflects. “It was life-inspiring. My faith transitioned from theory to reality during that time.”
Upon returning to the United States with their three children, the Jantzens expected to be assigned to another mission field, but God had different plans for them. Instead of continuing their work overseas, Dalton and Vicki found themselves in the marketplace in Georgia. Here, they learned how to integrate ministry with business.
For the next 20 years, the Jantzens lived in West Texas and New Mexico, honing their business skills. Vicki held various administrative roles in education and business, while Dalton honed his coaching and consulting skills. Together today, Vicki and Dalton apply these skills in conjunction with the Biblically-based spiritual principles he has developed through years of ministry.
During their time in New Mexico, Dalton and Vicki felt called to make themselves more available to share the wisdom they had gained through their extensive experiences in both mission fieldwork and business. They prayerfully decided to close the spiritual retreat center they had operated for over six years in Albuquerque, NM, and began focusing on the formation of 30 60 100 MINISTRIES, INC.
The name 30 60 100® MINISTRIES, INC. is derived from the parable of the sower and the good seed found in Matthew 13. This teaching emphasizes that when we invest our time in preparing our hearts and lives—our “soil”—God will do His part by planting His good seed within us. This leads to a multiplied harvest, whether it yields 30, 60, or even 100 times the outcome. Dalton and Vicki view their role as helping clients prepare their hearts for this significant impact.
“As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” – Matthew 13:23 (ESV)
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we [30 60 100® MINISTRIES, INC.] are God’s fellow workers. You [ministry clients] are God’s field, God’s building.”
– 1 Corinthians 3:6-11 (ESV)
