Dalton and Vicki Jantzen (founders of 30 60 100® MINISTRIES, INC.) spent 16½ years serving on 7 remote mission stations located over a 300-mile section of the Caquetá River in the southernmost part of Colombia. During this time they experienced what it really meant to trust the Lord, facing many potential safety and health threats. “That experience cemented my faith and my character,” says Vicki. “It was life-inspiring. My faith went from theory to reality during that time.” Upon returning to the states with their three children, the Jantzens expected to be redeployed to another mission assignment, but God had other plans. Instead of serving on another foreign mission field, Dalton and Vicki found themselves working in the marketplace in Georgia. This opportunity is where Dalton and Vicki learned to blend ministry with business. The Jantzens spent the next 10 years in West Texas, acquiring business skills. Today Dalton skillfully applies these learned skills and blends them with the Biblically based spiritual principles he has learned over many years of ministry. During the same time, Vicki held a series of administrative roles in education and business. In 2009, Dalton & Vicki sensed they needed to be more available to share the wisdom they had learned through vast experiences of both mission fieldwork and business. They prayerfully closed the business they had been operating for over 6 years – a spiritual retreat center in Albuquerque, NM – and began to focus on the formation of 30 60 100 MINISTRIES, INC.
The name 30 60 100® MINISTRIES, INC. comes from the parable of the sower and the good seed found in Matthew 13. The teaching is that when we do our part to prepare our soil, God does His part and plants the good seed and all benefit from a multiplied harvest whether 30, 60, or 100 fold. Dalton and Vicki see their role as helping their clients to prepare the soil of their hearts for multiplied impact.
“As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” – Matthew 13:23 (ESV)
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we [30 60 100® MINISTRIES, INC.] are God’s fellow workers. You [ministry clients] are God’s field, God’s building.”
– 1 Corinthians 3:6-11 (ESV)
